KUALA LUMPUR, 11th March: - UTM’s Pro-Chancellor Tan Sri Dr Salleh Mohd Nor received the Tun Razak National Award by the Tun Razak Foundation for his outstanding contribution in various fields.

JOHOR BAHRU, 19 February: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia stands tall at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2012 at PWTC when it won 23 gold, 22 silver and three bronze medals, which ended yesterday.
The achievement made UTM the institution with the most gold medals followed by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) eight and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) six gold medals.

Kuala Lumpur, 1 Feb 2012 : The UTM Press did UTM proud when it won two categories of the 2012 National Book Awards organised by the National Book Development Foundation in collaboration with The Oxford Centre for Excellence, United Kingdom and supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.
The category won is the Best Scholarly Book Award for the book "Historical Fact and Fiction" by Tan Sri Syed Muhammad Naquib Al 
Profesor Dr Ahmad Fauzi Ismail dinobatkan sebagai penerima Anugerah Inovasi Negara 2011 Kategori Produk sempena Persidangan dan Pameran Inovasi Kebangsaan (NICE) 2001 pada 15 dan 16 November lalu di Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.
Beliau menerima hadiah wang tunai RM50 ribu.
Anugerah Inovasi Negara diadakan bertujuan mengiktiraf usaha inovasi dan kreativiti yang menjana idea, ciptaan produk siap dalam sains dan teknologi serta menyumbang kepada ekonomi negara.

JOHOR BAHRU, 14 November: Naib Canselor Profesor Dato’ Ir Dr Zaini Ujang menerima anugerah dari Iskandar Malaysia sebagai menghargai dan mengiktiraf sumbangan beliau dalam membantu perkembangan koridor di wilayah selatan semenanjung.
Anugerah tersebut disampaikan kepada lebih 20 individu dalam majlis khas yang diadakan sebuah hotel terkemuka di sini sempena lima tahun penubuhan Iskandar Malaysia.
